Objectives

We wanted to achieve an awareness of environment and climate change for students and enriched training methods for teachers who could upgrade themselves throughout our project. We aimed to provide related instructions for teachers in terms of integrating environment and climate change into their curriculum latently and digital game competence and soft skills. Our objective is to make a meaningful contribution towards mitigating greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, aligning with the European Union's established target. This endeavor hinges upon the successful adoption of behavioral changes pertaining to environmental stewardship and climate resilience. We targeted to create an e-brochure, an e-book and a handbook for teachers. We considered creating an implementation of orienteering for students to explore a specific natural vicinity and the essentials of environment and climate change.

Background

We wanted to include environment and climate change in the course curriculum because when we examined some curricula, we found out that they were not included in the course content. We thought that students should make positive behavioral changes by frequently being exposed to environmental and climate change. Considering that we need to include environment and climate change in the course curriculum.we planned to use a latent learning method, therefore teachers of all levels would not fall behind in their curriculum in general. We thought of including a digital learning path to attract students' attention. We planned to raise students' awareness by placing stimuli about the environment and climate change within latent learning. Since this teaching will be carried out simultaneously by many lessons, students will easily gain awareness and result in behavioral change.
