Our vision for the project was to improve the lives of socially excluded young people by nurturing a growth mindset. Therefore, the primary objectives of implementing the project were: Promote a Growth Mindset: to instil a growth mindset among socially excluded young people, helping them understand that their abilities were not fixed but could be improved through effort and perseverance. Assist in Realizing Full Potential: involving fostering resilience, persistence, and self-belief, young people to overcome the challenges posed by social exclusion. Empower Through Opportunities: by providing young people opportunities to pursue their life goals and aspirations. We aimed to create pathways for them to achieve success in various aspects of their lives. Youth Worker Capacity Building: equipping youth workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively work with socially excluded young people. Innovation Through Trust-Building: the emphasis on trust-building was the foundation for introducing a growth mindset. We aimed to create a safe and supportive environment where socially excluded youth felt valued, heard, and empowered to make positive life changes.
We applied for this project because of the pressing need to improve the lives of socially excluded young people with tailored education and promotion of a growth mindset. Social exclusion has severe and long-term consequences for these youth, affecting various aspects of their lives, including education, employment, and emotional well-being. This project was driven by a deep sense of responsibility towards young people and the willingness to create an environment of trust and provide youth workers with the tools to foster a growth mindset. The project aimed to be a ray of hope for socially excluded youth who often felt trapped in a cycle of disadvantage. Through our project, we aimed to meet several critical needs such as: 1. Empowering Socially Excluded Youth through a growth mindset; 2. Building Trust through effective communication, aiming to create a safe space for growth; 3. Youth Worker Capacity Building: we recognized the importance of equipping youth workers with the necessary tools to be effective in their roles. This project was an opportunity to make a substantial impact on the lives of socially excluded youth enhancing the potential for positive change through the promotion of a growth mindset and trust-building.
