People may experience discrimination because of their age, ethnicity, origin, political believes, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, language, culture, disability and on many other grounds. Consequences of discrimination are manifested in two ways: direct and indirect ones. Persons and groups being discriminated against face direct consequences and society as a whole faces indirect (deep and long-term) consequence. That's why we implemented this project proposal so we could promote tolerance, overcome hate speech and raise awareness of the issues and social obstacles of marginalized groups. Learning objectives were: • Learn how to communicate with others using non-violent communication • Exchange knowledge and examples of good practices in an international group of young people • Improve knowledge about other cultures and religions and countries • Promote youth intercultural dialogue and universally shared values • Rise solidarity and tolerance through intercultural dialogue • Overcome stereotypes and intolerance • Organize short workshops about discrimination and intolerance for the local youths • Build the international network of youth • Develop and improve communication skills in English
