Objectives

The project was a follow-up of the international seminar on the value of play, organised by Chirojeugd Vlaanderen in 2019 in cooperation with the same partners. The theme of “the value of play” was chosen to stress the importance of time and room for playing for children and youngsters, and to stress the importance of the providers of play: youth organisations and their local groups and local leaders. After 2 years of pandemic, the importance of this theme became even more manifest. Main aim of this project was to explore digital ways to make connections and exchange between local groups easier. The objectives were: To guide a group of youth leaders to become connectors and give them ownership over their work. To raise awareness on the importance of playing and non-formal education, by sending out a message to local youth groups that their work makes a difference. To explore and install digital tools/platforms to enable local youth groups to connect with each other globally. To enable via these tools/platforms equal access to youth work knowledge.
