Youth workers have limited influence in supporting young people to increase their chances on the labor market because of the low level of competences of youth workers regarding non-formal and informal methods of learning youths to be prepared to face the challenges after they graduate. The number of activities organized by youth workers in our partner’s communities on employability topic for young people do not always meet their needs. Moreover, 30 youth workers have limited competences in working with young people facing fewer opportunities, as well as digital and hard drive resources that can help young people access the labor market. This situation is due to the central focus in schools based on the top down approach hindering active participation and also because qualified entities present a low level of implication in supporting non-formal methods of learning. Furthermore, these leads to a limited know-how of youth workers in our partner organizations regarding nonformal methods in helping young people to increase their job perspective and also from a macro point of view to an increased level of youth employability. Although all our partners implement projects under E+ using a variety of methods and creating opportunities for young people to participate in different activities, not all of them have the competence to accompany young people and sustain their development for accessing the labor market. This is the core reason why we prepared the present TC entitled “Take up, help yourself.”, which introduce the nonformal methods and tools for youth workers that can foster their contribution and support in the integration process of youths in the labor market. Through this TC we are aiming to increase the level of awareness of youth workers from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Greece, Czech republic, Spain, North Macedonia, Sweeden and Portugal regarding the impact of using nonformal methods in helping youths get a job.
