Objectives

By implementing this project, we wanted to create a game that will serve as an effective tool for youth workers to engage with young people, building trust and understanding before attempting to correct or discipline behavior. By focusing on social-emotional development, the project aims to create a more nurturing and supportive environment within the youth work sector. The project's primary goal is to develop a unique and engaging boarding game that utilizes positive discipline principles to address the challenges faced by youth workers and enhance their relationship with young people. By incorporating theory, know-how, and new techniques for problem-solving, emotion management, and attitude development, the game aims to offer practical solutions for youth workers dealing with the everyday complexities of their roles. The boarding game's main focus is on positive discipline, which encourages encouraging young people to deal with stressful situations through encouragement and mutual respect.

Background

The project aims to develop a positive discipline boarding game for youth workers, providing effective tools and techniques to build strong relationships with young people and address challenges. The game encourages emotional well-being, mutual respect, and problem-solving through interactive materials. Involving young people in the game's creation fosters confidence and independent thinking. The main needs addressed in this project are to provide youth workers with positive discipline tools and methods for better support in dealing with challenges faced in their work with students, disadvantaged children, and struggling young people. The focus is on engaging, connecting, and empowering the youth. The goal is also to encourage youth workers in various sectors to use positive discipline tools, promoting inclusion and addressing learning disadvantages, early school leaving, low attendance, and lack of interest in online education.
