Our project aimed at raising the environmental awareness of the young people and local communities of the partnering organisations so they can become the YES(young environmental saviors) concerned about their environment and fighting pollution and climate change. Our specific project objectives were: - to exchange best practices and know-how from previous environmental projects among partners; - to promote civic engagement and active youth citizenship for improving the local environment by organising youth-led eco-campaigns; - to build capacity in partners for implementing KA2 projects as we had newcomers in this action and some experienced partners; - to encourage green mobility among young people and local communities; - to foster love for nature and environmental protection via the eco-trips in partners' national parks; - to acquaint the directly involved participants and partners with important eco-dates(such as Earth Day, Water Day,Environmental Day, No Plastic Bags Day, etc.) around which they can plan and organise future eco-campaigns; - to create a Compendium about environmental projects implemented in partners' local communities with information about World and European Environmental Organisations and national parks
We applied with this project as we wanted to build young environmental saviors and activists concerned about the environmental problems and the climate change we are all facing. In the world that we live of global worming, climate change, endangered and disappearing species, extreme levels of air, water and soil pollution we had to build active youth leaders who care about the environment and think how they can help stop this process of destroying our own planet. We applied with this project as we believe in the power of young people and we consider it important to support young people and show them their voice and actions matter, that they can help save the environment, that even small eco-campaigns and measures can make the change. This is how we are building the YES not the NO\neglecting observers| of the environmental problems around them. Moreover, we wanted to exchange best environmental practices among partners, share know-how and expertise in organising eco-campaigns around important eco-dates, foster love for nature and promote the national parks and reserves in the partners' regions as well as green mobility.
