This project promoted the development of a Network of communication for supporting its aims and objectives in facilitating the exchange of ideas and creative thinking between school students interested in STEAME subjects, including high-ability students. This supports the aims of results of other related projects such as STEAME, STEAME GOES HYBRID, INNOMATH, E-I-STEAM, LEARN+ and more, for motivating students towards STEAME learning. This project results made the very first step in the change of education. The idea was to help school students to build up a community, which can be sustained progressively without much supervision and mentoring. The aims and objectives supported by this project were: 1. Exchange of talent support approaches and practices 2. Networking of Minds 3. Co-creation mind of state 4. Exchange Project Based Learning ideas 5. Promote Science Communication Skills 6. Effective Web-based Communications 7. Facilitate the cooperation between students from different regions and countries in Europe 8. Learning of European languages and Cultures 9. Developed a Network : European STEAME school students Network (ES3N) The project ran two main activities to achieve the above.
STEAME learning and project based learning is widely researched and accepted as the learning activity that can develop competences and skills for the creators and innovators of the future. Education 3.0 and 4.0 are describing the education reforms that are needed in order to develop the schools of the future. It is realized that the school students of the future move faster in realization than the education systems themselves. Even though the tools and solutions are more or less established in shaping the schools of the future, the change is not easy to be accomplished soon due to lack of readiness for change and political decisions needed to be taken, not counting the expenditures and need of training for teachers. In order to support the wish for development of competences in school students and their wish to grow into the creators of the future using media and technologies, this project has provided a ground of opportunity for European students to begin exchanging ideas, co-creating and cooperating even before their education systems are ready to provide this change. This small scale project opens a window of communication and cooperation as a bottom-up approach in changing the learning in the future.
