Gymnázium Jana Opletala (GJO) provides a complete secondary education concluded with maturita exam. The school's size significantly contributes to the creation of a positive social environment and helps create friendly relationships between students and teachers. GJO is a faculty school of the Faculty of Science of Palacký University in Olomouc. GJO has set the development of its students' language competencies as one of its priorities. Our students regularly participate in ecological activities - successful projects include the annual cleaning of the Morava River in the protected landscape area of Litovelské Pomoraví and tree planting. A significant endeavor is the participation in the international activity Clean Up The World. The school engages in numerous projects such as the Support for Schools in Simplified Reporting Templates for Secondary and Tertiary Professional Schools I, II or the Erasmus+ project, KA2, titled The European Flow – Cities at Rivers. Further teacher education was supported, among other things, by the project Inspiration, Internationalization, and Creativity at Litovel Gymnazium, KA1 of the Erasmus+ programme.
