As our school is focused on the individual education of our students, our goal was to learn more about this topic, to improve in this theme and to provide our students even better environment for their social and educational development. As part of the project we wanted to learn about new methods of education that are in accordance with our pedagogical direction and already implemented teaching methods. Then analyze the newly learned methods and successfully implement them in real educational process at our school. Our other goal was to support our teachers and students in the participation process and thus increase their competence and skills in this process, to show them the importance of participation and taking the initiative in solving various topics. In our particular case, it was mainly about topics focused on inclusion and environmental sustainability.
Our organization is an elementar school that uses the innovative and alternative pedagogical direction Jena plan as its basic educational concept. We are a young school operating for 6 years. We focus on teaching methods that enable a more direct and individual approach to each student. We are a school that focuses on the inclusion of all pupils, so we also educate pupils with special educational needs. In order to develop these methods, we are looking for organizations that have identical goals and visions to us and at the same time have more years of experience than us. We learn from such organizations and implement their best practices in our school, bring them and share them with other educational institutions. As more students enter our school every year, it becomes more difficult to pay individual attention to each student during their studies, and the demands for improving individual educational methods are constantly increasing. All this puts us in front of a challenge, which is mainly due to the quality of education that we want to continue to provide and to maintain at our highest level in the long term, and therefore we need to learn from organizations that have more experience and that have overcome similar situations.
