We implemented the project as a culmination of the activities of the project "Vom Barter bis Bitcoin-der Handel rollt sich weiter “(hereinafter referred to as” Handel") which our pupils were working on in the framework of eTwinning since 2019. The "Handel" project was implemented by ZSP w Mielżynie (Poland) with partners from Bulgaria, Spain and Greece within the Erasmus+ programme. The aim of the project was to acquaint pupils with various professions and crafts, to help them navigate in the labour market, to acquaint them with how business works, to develop financial literacy, language and digital competences. Our school participated in the “Handel” project only as an eTwinning partner. Thanks to the “Education for future life " project, our pupils had the opportunity to participate together with partners from Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Spain in the international learning activity of the “Handel” project, which took place in May 2022 in Poland. Thus, they tried their hand at real work in international teams, got acquainted with several crafts, tried to build their own company and business. At the end, the project was evaluated and concluded.
Primary School Primda is located in a rural region about 10 km from the border with Germany. In the immediate vicinity, there are only five secondary schools - in Bor (10 km), Tachov (18 km) and Stříbro (28 km). Therefore, after graduating from primary school, pupils go to various types of secondary schools most often in Pilsen (60 km). Their expectations regarding high school studies and future careers are often exaggerated and many students leave already during the 1st grade year of study in secondary schools chosen fields and go to schools of another type (from secondary school with a high school diploma to vocational schools, etc.). Participation in the project helped students to better navigate the labour market, to realize their strengths and weaknesses, to choose a high school in accordance with their interests and at the same time to find employment in the labour market after its completion. The aim of the project was to reduce to a minimum the early departure of students from their studies or leaving their originally chosen fields of study. The pupils also developed their language skills in German. Students who participated in the project will find their employment not only in Czech but also in German companies easier.
