Objectives

Social Interaction and Integration: One of the primary aims was to create opportunities for people with and without disabilities to engage in activities together, promoting social integration and mutual understanding. Communication and Empathy: The project aimed to facilitate proper communication between individuals without disabilities and the families of those with disabilities, fostering an environment of empathy and understanding. Education and Awareness: intended to educate the public about changing attitudes towards disabilities, providing correct information to dispel myths and prejudices, and encouraging a more inclusive viewpoint. Empathy Development: By allowing individuals without disabilities to engage directly with those who are disabled, the project aimed to cultivate empathy, helping to see the abilities rather than the limitations of individuals. Inspirational Model for Institutions: The project was designed to serve as a good example for educational and social institutions to undertake similar efforts, thereby spreading the impact beyond the direct participants.

Background

Promoting Social Adaptation of Disabled Individuals: The project aims to change negative societal attitudes towards people with disabilities, reducing social pressure on individuals and their families and enhancing their social integration. Enhancing Communication and Empathy: By facilitating interaction between disabled individuals and those without disabilities, the project sought to establish correct communication channels and promote empathy, contributing to improved social integration processes. Educating on Disability Rights and Inclusion: The project was also aligned with the principles of equality, justice, and human rights emphasized by the European Union, aiming to improve awareness and reduce discrimination against people with disabilities. These aims were designed to not only impact the direct participants but also to serve as a model for institutions and organizations to inspire similar initiatives, helping to create a more inclusive and understanding society.
