Objectives

The aim of the project was to actively engage students in the educational process, develop their cognitive skills, and foster their interest and motivation in studying science and technology. It also aimed to strengthen the competencies of teachers and school staff to better respond to the needs of modern education. Emphasis was placed on innovative teaching methods and involving transnational partners to share best practices and engage in international cooperation in STEM education. With changes in school curricula, where areas such as programming and robotics will be implemented, it is necessary to familiarize students with this issue as soon as possible and develop their cognitive abilities, creative thinking, guide them to work independently on problem-solving, and, above all, teach them to collaborate and lead them towards lifelong learning. All of these aspects were encompassed in the work on this project.

Background

We applied for the project because, as secondary schools, we identified the needs of our students in developing cognitive skills and practical knowledge in ICT. The project provides structured educational support through activities promoting creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Integrating coding, robotics, 3D design, and digital games aims to enhance students' interest in learning and equip them for the digital workplace. Recognizing students' challenges in transitioning to higher cognitive levels, we sought innovative teaching methods. The project facilitated this shift from passive learning to active engagement, aligning with our students' needs. Our goal is to address students' needs in ICT, providing relevant skills for their successful future.
