The positive experiences of learners and educational staff through Erasmus+ should be shared in all departments of the vocational schools in Kehl, regardless of the vocational specialisation. The expansion of the group of people who are willing to speak positively about the possibility of an experience abroad and to motivate learners in particular should set a snowball system in motion in order to have more people in the school who support the European Education Area and prepare them for the globalised world of work. To this end, both teachers and learners should be sent and involved in hosting situations: Through a mentoring system, previous experiences should be made more transparent and understandable throughout the school. The aim is to make Europe tangible: A European identity should be created through concrete experiences. By generalising the focus of the content on "intercultural competence", enthusiasm and participation should be possible for all those involved in school life, regardless of the vocational focus, and with this the preparation for a globalised working world.
The vocational schools in Kehl are a public school. The school network includes an inclusion school. The schools are involved in various sustainability projects. The school is located directly on the border with France near Strasbourg in the border triangle with Switzerland. The mission statement includes preparing learners as responsible citizens in Europe. This also includes cross-border cooperation and, since the approval of the first Erasmus application in 2014, cooperation at European level. It is an ambassador school of the European Parliament, has been awarded the tri-national Upper Rhine Seal, has experience in the Euroscola programme and the micro-projects of the State Ministry of Baden Württemberg. The school is also part of the Azubi-BacPro program. The commercial vocational school is particularly active. Membership of NETINVET, an association of more than 100 schools from over ten countries, favours the search for partners in the areas of trade, transport and logistics. This results in synergy effects for the commercial and home economics sectors, the utilisation of which is to be strengthened. Cooperation with pool partners has also been established.
