The idea of INAE was to unite the strengths of 2 different member states in a field like the environment, where due to climate change and other challenges, urgent action is needed. In this respect, the project had following objectives: -blend German know-how in formal adult education, dual system, with Italian know-how in non formal/ informal education, -refine high quality learning opportunities for adults with a focus change on environment/waste water and digital sector -provide tools and recommendations that can be used for and with our target group -develop an overarching framework transferable across Europe
The battle against climate change is an urgent issue across the globe and water bodies remain under pressure from pollution sources, with Industry representing a highly relevant stakeholder. In this respect INADE wanted to acknowledge the importance of this sector, and the lack of labour force. The project was designed to respond to the needs of our target group, in the sense of improving the quality of information regarding environment-industrial water treatment/management, with a view of having an increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. INADE addressed also the need to create conditions for new ways of dealing with adult education providers, and other relevant stakeholders, design useful deliverables able to be used by policy makers as a barometer. While the water management approach depends on the economic strength of the country, enterprises depend on skilled people to be competitive. The fact that the education system has been intensively privatised, there is more need to blend formal with in- and non-formal education. INADE is structured in such a way to respond to the identified needs proportionally to the dimension of the project.
