With this project, we wanted to provide teachers of apprenticeships and dual study with training with important skills for the future and show them ways in which workload-bearing procedures and processes can be digitalised and automated. We also wanted to address the changes in apprenticeships and dual study with training so that teachers can better prepare their apprentices for the changing labour market requirements. Our goal was to increase the digital skills and competences of educators, teachers and faculty members so that they can keep up with the increasing digitalisation of the education sector and the changing demands of the labour market. In this way, deficits in digital skills can be overcome and existing skills can be enhanced. The skills acquired are the keys to driving digitalisation in the education sector.
Digitalisation is changing more and more ( apprenticeship ) professions in all industries. At the same time, the demands of the labour market for more future competences for future trainees and students are also increasing. Many institutions are not meeting this need because corresponding further training opportunities are not available. According to the World Economic Forum, 42% of the core competencies of all professions will change. Therefore, there is a great need to train and develop teachers and faculty members. Therefore, with this project, we have exclusively addressed teachers and faculty members and provided them with important skills in the field of digitalisation and technological education trends, so that they can act as multipliers to pass on this knowledge to their trainees and students and they themselves can also practice their profession in a future-proof manner. It simultaneously increases the employability and attractiveness of training and education with dual studies.
