The development of learning workshops for sustainable environmental protection should address the topic of environmental protection and the climate and environmental protection goals of the EU and its member states and use the results to make a substantial contribution to achieving these goals. The holistic, general concept, the 5 job-specific examples and the qualification concept for the educational staff enable directly implementable action to impart green, sustainable knowledge within the framework of vocational training, further education and training, as has been required throughout the EU for a long time.
The climate and environmental protection goals of both Germany and the EU continue to require support with measures, especially in the world of work and professional life. However, these goals have only increasingly been reflected in vocational training in recent years and still require more detail and improvement. The project took this need into account by using low-threshold offers, namely learning workshops, to address climate and environmental protection in vocational training and to develop practice-oriented teaching offers. Both the needs of the learners through the learning workshops themselves and those of the teachers were taken into account through a qualification concept for teachers in the learning workshops.
