Objectives

The implementation of the project aimed to achieve the following goals: establishment of a solid exchange partnership with a Swedish school, expansion of linguistic and intercultural competencies among the participating students, introduction and involvement of new teachers in Erasmus+ projects, and independent learning management for the participating students.

Background

As a "European School in Lower Saxony," projects with schools in European countries are an integral part of the extracurricular offerings of Goethe School Gymnasium. As part of the extracurricular program, a Sweden Club has been established for students in the tenth to thirteenth grades. The students in the Sweden Club get to know the country and its culture (including language, political system, landscape, indigenous population, food culture, and more). Stemming from the Sweden Club, two one-week stays in Sweden took place at Teknikum and Katedralskola schools in Växjö, with six or eight students and two teachers each. In the long term, a partnership between the three schools is being pursued to expand the offerings of Goethe School as a European School. Accreditation has been achieved.
