With this project, we wanted to qualify teachers to better reach and support students with special psychosocial development risks. In order to achieve this goal, training courses for teachers were held to contribute to the development of a mindful school culture. Four sub-goals were defined in detail: - Improving information on mental health among teachers and students - Information on resilience development and self-care - Reduction of stigmatization and exclusion of students with special risks. - Development of a continuous offer for all concerned and interested students.
All partner institutions are confronted with children and young people from high-risk families in their fields of activity. The effects of educational disadvantages regularly become apparent, especially among children of mentally ill parents and other young carers. Research results show that on average about 4 children per school class are affected - the topic is therefore highly relevant in everyday school life. The project aims to promote mental health among schoolchildren. The project was assigned to the priority "Tackling learning disadvantage, early school leaving and low proficienca in basic skills".
