Objectives

Permaculture is to support people, animals and nature in addition to this creating healthy and fertile settlements, working with nature instead of going against it, making long-term and careful observations instead of acting thoughtlessly, seeing all the functions of systems rather than pursuing a single product and allowing their own evolution. philosophy. The idea originated in Australia. Bill Mollison and his student David Holmgreen created the ideology at the beginning of 1970s. Permaculture aims at sustainable design systems that aim to protect nature without compromising. Bill Mollison based permaculture on 3 basic ethics which are “Save Earth”, “Save Man” and “Share the surplus you produce!” perspective. To ensure the continuity of all living and non-living beings and to create the necessary conditions for their reproduction, to ensure that people have food, shelter, education, work and human relations and to reach the necessary resources for a healthy existence, to control our own needs and to limit consumption are the most important features. Today, 95% of the food we consume can come from the soil, but one-third of the global lands are already degraded and unusable, this is an important loss for the ecosystem. Moreover, this rate is increasing day by day by unconscious users. However, if the permaculture is learned by today's youth, the awareness that permaculture can help to heal the barren lumps more quickly and to get plenty of efficiency from a limited area. In this context, the general aim of the project was to show the youth that perma culture is a holistic design science and to increase the recognition of perma culture by sharing experience and information about perma culture and sustainable practices. Special goals were as follows; To teach the philosophy of Perma culture and design principles to young people To show the practical applications of Perma culture both in urban life and in rural life To raise awareness of young people on the importance of Perma culture in ecological life To raise awareness among the local people by promoting the perma culture outdoors.
