Objectives

The European Ways e.V, in collaboration with its Armenian partner "Yeghvard" Youth Ecological NGO together with other partners has successfully realized a youth exchange program for young individuals facing fewer opportunities in environmental organizations. The participating countries in this project included Armenia, Bulgaria, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Georgia. The primary objective of the project was to heighten awareness among youth workers and individuals with fewer opportunities regarding environmental issues and photography skills. The participants were intended to enhance their knowledge in both environmental matters and photography skills throughout the course of the program. The project was strategically structured with the initial phase dedicated to learning. During this period, participants acquired knowledge and skills related to environmental issues and photography. The subsequent phase focused on the practical application of this learning, with participants actively engaged in the creation of an environmental brochure/flyer. This graphic document aimed to highlight major global environmental problems and was crafted using photos and materials generated during the youth exchange. The project's key objectives included improving participants' photography and design skills for effective promotional materials, enhancing their ability to creatively express environmental issues, developing working methods within environmental organizations, and imparting basic skills for initiating effective campaigns using photography. Throughout the project, various topics were covered, including environmental problems specific to each country, each participating country have presented the main environmental problems in their countries and showed the main solutions that their country is applying, European institutions working on environmental issues, historical photos, expression through photography, they had organized practical workshops on techniques for capturing nature, and the utilization of online platforms for quality photo creation. The participants collaborated together to formulate a flyer, serving as a guide on utilizing online tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CupCut, and Lightroom and other tools for local organizations to actively engage in social media. This initiative aimed to increase the visibility of participating organizations and concurrently raise awareness about the issues they address. Recognizing the significant role of social media in people's lives, the knowledge gained in working with online tools was emphasized as highly effective for organizations in both EU and non-EU countries. The resulting online guideline, created collaboratively with the participants, will be disseminated across all online platforms of the participating organizations, ensuring the sustained impact and visibility of the project.
