Young members and youth workers wanted to implement this project because it touches such one the most important issue in Europe and in the whole world - environmental protection. By this project members of EProjectGermany with youth from partner organizations wanted to stress that responsibility for the ecological situation concerns with every individual person, but only acting together we can save our planet. During the project youth discovered how individual influences on the environment and how to minimize our harmful behavior. Participants learned about the activities that young people could do together to promote responsible eco-friendly behavior at their communities through non formal education and art. As result of concertizing the topic and problems, through open dialog and non-formal education methods participants established solid message and find a creative method to give that message to others. As a main objective participants prepared in international teams and then together found common solution to transfer messages to others through creative means in a form of art available for public to see. The objectives of the project were: - Encouraging young people towards a better understanding of ecology and environment protection, matter that affects both the rural and urban space and the way in which Europe is dealing with this problem; - Developing the intercultural dialogue between youngsters from 6 different countries through activities based on non-formal education, which highlight the traditional customs of their countries; - Finding a way together with local young people on how to promote messages to public; - Promoting creative and artistic messages done by the participants of this project, in which they show their perception of the topic - ecology and sustainability in rural areas; - Developing competences of young people participating in project. According to Erasmus+ program's objectives and priorities, the project: - raised awareness about EU Citizenship and active participation; - developed solidarity and tolerance among youth through continuous and active interaction between the participants, as well as the exchange of information and good practices on different subjects; - encouraged mutual understanding and intercultural learning through the planned methodology, informal moments and common sense. Moreover the link with the Youth sector was: - increased awareness about ecological challenges in European Union and surrounding countries; - increased awareness on the negative impact that xenophobia, racism and discrimination have by exchanging cultural aspects and traditions; - increased awareness on their EU citizenship, as young people will be encouraged to get involved actively in their societies and local communities; - the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities: economical, geographical and social; - promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable living through non-formal education, creative and artistic expression; - the development of soft skills, improving competences, self-assessment, individual and group learning, by the use of non formal methods and promotion of its role and benefits regarding education; - promoting empowering of young people by showing them ways and methods on how to positively impact society. Intercultural environment created on the project leads to developing solidarity, tolerance and intercultural understanding.
