Objectives

The project was designed to train volunteers and youth workers from JANUN, the Alpine Club Youth and the Mountaineering Club Zezelj. They should get to know each other, have a variety of intercultural experiences and get to know each other better as a result. The participants, who have an interest/experience in outdoor activities, should acquire a wide range of methodological and content-related skills during this youth encounter, which will enable them to develop, design and lead nature stays and hiking tours with children and young people in a variety of ways as team leaders in the future. The methods, activities and concepts tried out during the youth exchange, as well as the content discussed, were to be reflected on together with the participants, developed further if necessary and finally published in a brochure in Serbian, English and German following the youth exchange. The aim of disseminating the brochure was not only for Zezelj and JANUN to acquire new skills, methods and topics, but also for many other people and organizations to be inspired by the brochure to go into nature with children and young people, or if they are already doing so, to receive new ideas from the brochure. At the same time, the entire one-week program should be documented in such a way that it can also be used by others to teach skills for outdoor/hiking activities.
