TO GREEN OR NOT TO GREEN was the 5th edition of youth projects in a row implemented by NaturKultur e.V. and dedicated to the role of young people in European political life. This project was specific for its main focus. So far, the focus of other projects of this kind has been on migrants, Brexit, radicalism and social injustice in Europe. This project focused mostly on environmentally-related issues concerning the political engagement of youth. By implementing this project we wanted to encourage youngsters to take a more active role in social and political matters of their communities, thus contributing to democratic participation of youth at the European level. This project focused on specific issues related to environmental protection, including: - European path towards the green deal and the role of individuals in it; - activism of youth organizations with emphasis on experience exchange between EU countries; - how young people of Europe can push for more green decisions and solutions adopted by politicians. This goes in line with the vision and priorities of our organisation NaturKultur, which wants to inspire youth to take an active role in greener Europe. The goals of this project are closely related to the activism and goals of NaturKultur, which for more than 10 years spread the spirit of European identity, non-discrimination, youth activism and green solutions. The goals of this project were: - strengthening and spreading EU values among youth; - increasing number of youngsters in environmental and other political issues in their communities; - overcoming the gap between young people and politicians; - increasing awareness of the most important European topics, with a focus on environmental challenges.
