In the context of the ever-changing global social and economic realities, young people are particularly vulnerable to poverty, exclusion, inequality, and marginalization. These factors, combined with their circumstances and the broader political, social, and economic environment, lead to various radical effects, including severe radicalization. The rising trend of such vulnerabilities highlights the critical need to engage with young people in Europe and neighboring regions to bolster their resilience against radicalization and enhance the openness and inclusiveness of their communities. In the implementation of our project, we aimed to address the pressing challenges faced by young people due to the constant changes in global social and economic realities. With this in mind, we planned to create a framework that would not only counteract the vulnerabilities young people face, such as poverty, exclusion, inequality, and marginalization but also enhance their resilience against radicalization. We identified the necessity of working closely with partner organizations to achieve our goals effectively. Violent extremism poses a significant threat to societal security and the democratic values upon which societies are built. Over the last decade, the world has encountered numerous challenges, including terrorist attacks, the proliferation of extreme ideologies, youth radicalization, and frequent instances of hate speech and intolerance. Young people, especially those who are marginalized, are the primary targets of extreme ideologies. There is a pressing need for ongoing action to build resistance against extremist narratives, and youth organizations are believed to play a pivotal role in this process. Our main goal was to empower young people by equipping them with advanced knowledge and skills. These skills focused on promoting critical thinking and increasing media literacy, crucial competencies in the digital age where extremist narratives are rampant. We, along with our partner organizations, agreed on innovative methods and tools for deconstructing extremist narratives, contributing to building resistance against violent extremism at both the individual and community levels. By using innovative approaches and tools, the project seeks to deconstruct extremist narratives, thereby contributing to building resistance at both the individual and community levels. Moreover, it aims to promote intercultural dialogue, solidarity, peace, tolerance, and cooperation, thereby reinforcing active citizenship, social inclusion, and solidarity. Our objectives were clearly defined: to foster intercultural dialogue, promote positive narratives, and cultivate an environment of solidarity, peace, tolerance, and cooperation. Through active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and solidarity, we aimed to reach marginalized young people and provide them with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of their environments, resist extremist ideologies, and contribute positively to their communities. The project's specific objectives include equipping youth from various EU and non-EU countries with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote critical thinking, increase media literacy, deconstruct extremist narratives, foster intercultural dialogue, and promote positive narratives. These efforts are aligned with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and the EU Youth Strategy Policies 2019-2027, which focus on improving young people's competencies, including those with fewer opportunities, and preventing violent extremism and youth radicalization. By implementing this project, the goal is to reach marginalized young people, improve diversity, and support youth in addressing the challenges they face due to identity issues, social exclusion, and the lure of extremist ideologies. The project, "Youth Can Stop Radicalization," held in Kobuleti, Georgia, embodies these objectives by empowering young people through non-formal and informal learning opportunities. These include developing teamwork, leadership, intercultural competencies, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, which are essential for active citizenship and guarding against extremist ideologies.
