- The project Greencademy youth exchange was aimed at giving young people from selected countries exposure to how rapidly the world is changing in terms of production and consumption of the food and how our habits and the certain ways of producing food has an enormous impact on our environment. We wanted to achieve the food production literacy among the participants and also give them insight to the alternative food production methods that are more sustainable and how they can be part of that change from Industrial mode of production to more sustainable mode of productions by making the right choices and indirectly supporting the movement. These were the broader aims of the project which we achieved successfully. The project had following objectives which were met successfully: Giving the participants exposure to the current realities of the environmental degradation in Europe and how we are facing the crisis of climate change. Providing them the holistic overview of the environmental challenges that we are facing today and how those are connected to the choices we make in our daily life. Providing the participants realities of agricultural production practices that impact environment. Finding solutions for the challenges we are facing today with extensive mode of production and encouraging young participants to come up with creative solutions for these challenges. Providing knowledge to youth about the environment friendly and sustainable ways of food production methods. Giving practical examples of success stories of Organic and sustainable farming by visiting the local farms with such examples. Giving exposure to the young participants to inter-cultural learning, language, working in diverse groups and team work.
