The climate situation in the world and in Europe is terrible, and unless we take action as soon as possible our future generations will be left with ruins of the planet. A lot of young people are eager to take action, but they lack knowledge and guidance in this process. Every small impact matters as well as the need in spreading ecological awareness is getting higher. Sustainable Green Europe is one of the European Youth Goals for 2019-2027. The new programme of the Erasmus+ is going along with the idea of making Europe more “green”. Raising awareness about European Union common values is our mutual key priority. Based on this agenda, we wanted to make young people aware of what is currently happening with our planet, what important decisions and documents are produced, make them aware of the dangers climate change has for our planet and how we as humans can change it. By showing how climate protection can be done differently and by working together hand in hand with fellow Europeans we can make a small but important contribution to the global fight with climate emergency. By implementing the mobility "Climate Change in Europe - Time to take Action!" we wanted to achieve: Increased knowledge about climate change reasons, its significance for Europe and the Paris Climate Agreement implementation among the participants; Higher level of ecological awareness: learn more about sustainable practices, visit some existing “green” electricity production, reused in an eco-friendly way former cole plant and meet with local ambassadors of eco movements; Creation and implementation of social changes and initiatives on a local level which would help to slow down climate change. We are planning to implement small initiatives in the home countries and communities of the participating organisations, which would make an impact on the international, national and local level. Also one of the important goals of this mobility of youth workers was the preparation for the youth exchange “Climate Change”, which happened two months after the course. The youth workers attending this training course prepared and accompanied their groups of young participants and supported the organisers in implementation of the course. In this way the knowledge from the training was directly shared with the youth.
