The goals of YouMeCon include the networking of young media enthusiasts, the participation of the target group in current debates and developments around the topic "Future of Journalism" as well as creating a diverse offer for further education. To enable the engagement of the young generation and at the same time to strengthen media competences is the most important concern of the Youth Press Germany, as these factors are important prerequisites for an active civil society and the promotion of democracy. Another goal this year was to promote diversity in the creation of the program as well as in the acquisition of participants and speakers.
