Objectives

The “Future Entrepreneurs" workshops has been successfully concluded, markedly enhancing non-formal teaching methods in Denmark and Poland. Achieving a notable 25% (measured by quantitative surveys) improvement in youth soft skills, the program engaged 5 new volunteers in each organisation as ambassadors, signaling its lasting impact. Partnering organizations gained valuable international collaboration experience, addressing Erasmus plus grants and project coordination. Exceeding expectations, 50 young people completed the Future Entrepreneurs in Denmark, and 25 in Poland, fostering sustainability. The project, with its 25% improvement in entrepreneurial soft skills, ignited youth curiosity and awareness of the labor market gap, empowering a more capable generation. In summary, the FED/FEP played a pivotal role in bridging educational and career gaps, empowering youth, and fostering active citizenship. The program not only equipped youth with essential skills but also sparked increased curiosity and motivation, laying the foundation for a more empowered and capable generation. Moreover, the partners made a sustainability plan for the project which is being successfully developed -making it possible to run another FE Batch in 2024.

Background

We applied for this project due to challanges faced by many young people (13 to 30 yo.), who are about to enter job market or become entrepreneurs. For many years youth unemployment rose, remaining a major EU concern. The OECD criticizes Europe for high unemployment and labor market mismatches, threatening young people's employability. Recognizing education system shortcomings, we advocate for support and non-formal activities. Entrepreneurship workshops, vital for soft and core skills, lack widespread availability. Entrepreneurs, (over 99% of European businesses) are crucial for economic competitiveness, yet youth lack widespread access to entrepreneurship training. We saw an urgent need to bridge this gap. Our non-formal training not only facilitates development of startups but also cultivates valuable contributors to Europe's economy. Integrating entrepreneurial soft skills with green skills is pivotal for transitioning to a low- carbon economy, essential for capitalizing on social, environmental, and economic benefits. This project has been seeking funding to empower youth with essential skills and knowledge.By addressing these challenges, we strive to equip youth with the capabilities to become effective leaders of tomorrow.
