“Cyberspace” was a project that took place in Aegviidu, Estonia and was devoted to develop skills of cybersecurity, development of media literacy, cyberbullying and critical thinking skills among. Main activity of project was 8 days long Youth Exchange, where we involved 8 people from 5 countries: Estonia, Turkey, Italy, Slovakia and Poland. The importance of digital technologies in our lives has reached new heights, so we need to develop media literacy. Sharing information between young people was a step in disseminating information about how technology is changing our lives; why it is so important to develop knowledge about the cybertreats of online technology and how to protect yourself online. Digital, mobile and social media have become an integral part of people's daily lives around the world. Today, more than 4.5 billion people use the Internet and the number of social media users has exceeded 3.8 billion. Young people are active users of the Internet and we believe that it was very useful to teach them how to use the Internet safely. We raised awareness among young people about potential cyber threats and the potential of social media. The aim of the project was to create a favorable and safe atmosphere where young people were able to gain knowledge about cyberspace; to promote the communication and development of young people with different mother tongues so that they learnt to hear and understand each other by researching a topic that interests them. Our goal was to influence their perception of cyberspace so that they benefited from the Internet and also knew the tricks of attackers and how to deal with them. The project contributed to overcoming potential language barriers, mutual understanding between participants and the ability to listen to each other. The need of using the Internet is increasing every day, it is completely normal and inevitable. The Internet offers tremendous opportunities to study, work and etc. Our project raised young people's awareness of this issue and increased their digital literacy. This was a great way to improve the quality of life. Our project contributed to the acquisition of important knowledge about cyberspace, as well as the development of digital competences. We also talked about the fact that we did not have to be in cyberspace all the time, but we have to communicate in life. It's already 2nd project that Together Estonia was working on this topic and we continued with it, as we realised the high importance of the subject, especially when nowadays the reality of the world has changed after COVID-19. We wanted especially to stress this topic because it is relevant today and is already relevant in the new world after the COVID-19 pandemic. The importance of digital technologies in our lives has reached new heights, so we need to develop digital literacy. Objectives: - to raise awareness about threats in the Internet; - development of media literacy, cybersecurity and critical thinking skills among participants; - making of intercultural dialogue; - increase motivation for self-development; - acquaintance with Erasmus+ opportunities.
