We wanted to draw more attention to the topic of conscious and sustainable consumption, especially sustainable nutrition, among European youth, to make young people think about a healthier way of life and to motivate them to make more informed consumption choices. We followed in our activities the fact that a lot has been said, for example, about the impact of the food industry (meat production) and excessive use of plastic packaging, on climate warming. Through the activities, we guided people to think about the questions: but how can you actually do something about all this? How to keep your consumption habits as sustainable as possible and how to minimize your ecological footprint and your impact on the climate and nature? The name of the youth exchange "Lifestyle Project" also comes from the fact that in order to reduce our negative impact on the climate and nature, we need to make it our lifestyle. We drew attention to the fact that, above all, everyone needs to be aware of their consumption habits, and through the direction of the activities, we tried to get the participants to think critically about the sustainability and wider impact of their choices. In terms of lifestyle, it is important to make changes towards a more active lifestyle, so we also paid attention to the physical activity of young people and moved a lot in nature. Goals set for the project: To learn about the necessity of a sustainable and waste-free lifestyle; Gain knowledge about the ecological footprint and its reduction; To develop critical thinking and making conscious healthier choices in everyday life; Develop organizational and leadership skills of young people by planning and carrying out various workshops and activities; To support intercultural dialogue among young people participating in youth exchanges through activities and working towards common goals.
