Objectives

Through implementing this project we were able to give youth workers knowledge on entrepreneurship that they now are able to pass on to the young people they are working with. Mainly we focused on social entrepreneurship and gave tools on how through youth work participants are able to help themselves and other youth workers to improve their NGOs or even start their own social enterprise. Additionally they are now equipped to help young people to take necessary steps towards the Social Entrepreneurship path. The objectives of this project: - Tackled essential entrepreneurship traits - topics of leadership, Self-empowerment, time management, risk assessment & team work. - Helped youth workers understand better why young people choose the path of entrepreneurship and how they as youth workers can help them achieve their dreams. - Helped the youth workers to get hands on with thе ‘Dеsign Thinking’ process. Through that they created business ideas that were inspired from the challenges in their local communities. - Showed what it takes to be an entrepreneur & how to manage risk taking. - Taught the participants to use Canva business model & how to adapt the Canva business model for their planning of their idea of social enterprise. - Up-skailed youth workers on employability & sense of initiative of the young people they work with. We gave youth workers competencies that are needed when starting a social enterprise and/or running their own organisation. Also tools on how they can educate young people on this subject. Through this project we managed to pass on the knowledge to the youth workers and now the youth they are working with have a better support system & guidance when starting their business venture. Those potential businesses have the possibility to grow more in the future & therefore employ more people within the same society. Through this the project had a multiplying effect. Apart from training youth workers in the area of entrepreneurship, this training course indirectly trained the youth workers on how to make use of digital tools in their youth work activities. They were guided on how to promote their business ideas through digital screens - creating posters, videos, logos etc. Before and after the implementation of the project we did online sessions with participants where we gave homework and guided them through on how to plan and deliver interactive online sessions. Unfortunately not all the participants took part in the last phase of the project. But the ones that did definitely sharpened their skillset.
