Our main objectives for the project were the following: - to promote environmental consciousness and “green thinking” among our students throughout their learning experience - to develop students’ entrepreneurial and communication skills in terms of co-learning and co-creating learning outcomes. Taking into account the fact that Estonian students were younger than their Polish counterparts (age 13-15 vs 17-19), this project also aimed at co-teaching and evaluating the role of students in the learning process. - to enhance students’ communication and cooperation skills between students from different cultural, economic, and social backgrounds - thus emphasizing the values of acceptance, tolerance, inclusivity, and equal opportunities.
Both our schools have had the experience of participating in Erasmus+ projects, along with several other partners. Therefore applying for this project was a logical continuation of international cooperation, both for Randvere School and I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace im. prof. Zbigniewa Religi. in this project, we wanted to promote both schools' values and priorities - i.e., orientation towards cooperation and international activity, spreading the image and values of the Green School movement (Eco school - Randvere School), promoting sustainable school management, advertising entrepreneurial skills among students, enhancing our experience as multicultural schools, and also including students from different socio-economic, cultural and language backgrounds. Another important reason was the aspiration to build an international student body so that young people from Estonia and Poland would have an opportunity to overcome physical borders and feel what it means to be truly future European citizens.
