Objectives

We wanted to motivate Vocational students for continuous learning and purchase of knowledge. We wanted to show to the students that there are plenty of opportunities in the IT sector, in technologies, as long they are continuously evolving. We wanted to show them the new fields of technology that are Flourishing and there is a demand for more program developers. We wanted Students, IT developers, and Professors from Universities to act as a team for creating complicated projects, such as the construction of a drone. We wanted to make students more active in the classroom. We wanted to use experiential learning and project development for activating the Vocational Students.

Background

It has been observed that vocational education students don’t show much interest in acquiring knowledge and improving their educational level. Students do not cooperate with teachers in the classroom and they are not diligent in their studies. Moreover, they are not interested in their admission to the university. Their teachers are looking for new ways to spark their interest and make them interested in their lessons. In addition, the school program hasn’t renewed for years and is far from the latest technological development. Students understand that the educational process does not meet the current needs of their occupation, so they do not feel the need to engage more with their studies. On the other hand, technology is constantly evolving, new data and new technological requirements are constantly emerging. This means that students should be constantly informed about new requirements and acquire new skills. Especially in the technological sector we see that there is an increased demand for developers of mobile phone applications. For this reason we believe that graduates of the occupational education should acquire new knowledge in the programming of mobile devices and drone construction.
