The project's overarching goal was to empower young participants to become leaders of social change in their communities. Through activities in the natural environment and non-formal education, the project aimed to facilitate self-discovery and nurture qualities such as teamwork, resilience, leadership, responsibility, empathy, and compassion. The initiative operated in a social, inclusive, and sustainable manner, encouraging a collective commitment to living sustainably and respecting nature. "The Compass of Life: There is more in us than we know" embodied the belief that young people can change the reality of the society they live in. It represented a passionate approach, a thirst for adventure, and a desire to live audaciously and vibrantly through life's journey. The project served as an opportunity for participants to realize their potential, encouraging them to do more than they initially thought possible and contribute to the global community with their strength and passion. From a youth work practices perspective, the project provided individuals with the opportunity to leverage adventure, expeditions, and hiking as tools for both professional and personal development. It aimed to showcase that various avenues exist to create impact, emphasizing that even the smallest change can have a profound effect on the right target group. The project, therefore, aligned its objectives with the broader vision of empowering young leaders and fostering positive change.
