Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to allow participants to collaborate and exchange innovative ideas on how to identify and manage their emotions during crisis periods and to develop self-awareness and self-confidence. Through the training participants were encouraged to think clearly, to use their strengths to evolve, to engage critical thinking working as a team and having a common vision and at the same time to respect each other's diversity. Through the interactive nature of workshops, they had the chance to activate their creativity and their emotional intelligence while having a fun time at the same time. The participants became fully aware of themselves and other human beings and learned how to stay connected to their real nature and how to clear their minds, relax their bodies, learn to live in the present moment and find solutions that work better for them and their wellbeing. Furthermore, we aimed to use our strengths and powers to overcome social problems like discrimination and social exclusion resulting from unawareness and infringement of our HR. Through the enhancement of ourselves we also aimed to eliminate inequalities and violation of HR, to improve our relationships and to promote innovative ideas for the overall well being. In our effort to promote the above, this project involved mainly activities from the Theatre of the Oppressed (Image Theatre,Forum Theatre) and creative arts activities which gave the opportunity to the participants to collaborate and share innovative ideas on how to better learn themselves, how to become better and how self-improvement can contribute to interact more efficiently with other people and ideas. Moreover, the participants had the opportunity to express their innovative opinions on how awareness of HR and compliance with them can contribute to better self-understanding and elimination of discrimination. Finally, the participants were able to share ideas on how to live in a more innovative world. These ideas can later turn into realistic action plans that can be implemented by creating other projects or by organizing other relevant seminars in other countries. Such activities developed the participants’ self-improvement skills, the need to be innovative, to be aware of HR and fight discrimination. Moreover, another important topic of our training was to promote well being and positive attitude in life.We achieved that by using a variety of tools like meditation, journaling, body movement, creative writing, art therapy etc.The different activities were scheduled in a way that facilitated the purpose of the training and led to the best possible results. We had a lot of mindfulness and breathing activities that helped participants to ground themselves and to live in the moment, to reduce the stress and anxiety, to be more creative and to create a deeper understanding of themselves and others. Group mindfulness allows you to see your struggles with the mind, reflected in your pears. In this way, the participants bonded with each other, developed trust, felt more comfortable and had better communication. This empowered them to make changes and build their areas of strength, as well as identify areas where they would like to make improvements. Self-awareness is often the first step to setting goals and making positive changes for your life and the place we live. To sum up, “IMMHEALD” emphasized self-knowledge, self-improvement,creativity and HR. According to Billie Jean King, self-awareness is the most important thing towards being a champion. Through this project, we focused on the need to know ourselves, to discover and “block” the factors that hamper our self-awareness, such as the encroachment of HR, and to be more innovative. Visualising the person we want to be, will help us figure out what we need to do to get there. One “key” to “unlock” our goals is to think differently. Novelty it reduced discrimination and raised self-development and cooperation between youth in EU, by promoting relevant activities during this training and by training the participants that will train and educate young people in their countries, hoping that this project contributed even at a tiny level, in the participants’ further exertions. Anything worthwhile requires time and effort, results worth it.
