Background

Professionals and organisations from four countries, we applied for this project in order to improve the tools and methodologies used in secondary schools to educate in value in order to contribute to the social inclusion of ethnic minorities and migrants. To create more civic and democratic societies and to enhance and strengthen ways of being and behaviour based on respect for diversity and inclusion, project organisations, we considered it necessary to work on education in values in order to train people capable of playing an active role in the construction of a fairer, more inclusive and intercultural world. In this way, we were able to address the following difficulties and problems: -Rejection and feelings of exclusion towards people coming from other countries, from situations of difficulty and/or at risk of social exclusion; -New social, educational and training needs arising from the crises we have experienced and we are experiencing; -Lack of spaces for reflection and debate; -High levels of apathy and low levels of critical thinking, creativity and sense of initiative in young people; -Lack of competences among teachers to work on these topics from a comprehensive and attractive perspective.
