This project aimed to make EU young citizens reflect on their sensibilities, concerns and knowledge of European values, improving their personal life and civic engagement. The target groups of this initiative were young people who will become the leaders of tomorrow. Children are the future, and they will have the responsibility to continue protecting the world. We believe that it is our responsibility to make them aware of their problems, their inequalities, developing their skills towards critical thinking.
We believe that in order to build a fairer and more sustainable world it is essential that citizens get involved. And education is the key, as a transformative tool for society, to promote a solidary, responsible, committed citizenship that recognizes the equal rights and dignity of all people. From this perspective, we applied for this project, that aims at fostering among European youth the building of a socially responsible citizenship, one that is more aware of European values. On this regard, we thought it was necessary to make young people reflect on social issues that concern them, and to show them that they are able to make critical thinking from a means of expression that they use constantly, photography.
