Development of training coursesDigital skills and competencesInitial and continuous training for teachers, trainers and other education staff

Objectives

The project proposed 4 objectives that have been successfully achieved: 1) Improve the professional skills of teachers through a training itinerary for teachers focused on the digital transformation of education and attention to student diversity. 2) Achieve the active participation of schools with difficulties in accessing internationalization opportunities, preferably small in size and in disadvantaged, rural or difficult-to-perform areas. 3) Establish synergies with local educational authorities, such as Universities, City Councils or Education Delegations, to extend the achievements achieved and allow the results of the project to reach more educational centers. 4) Create a transnational network of teacher training centers to begin our internationalization process and be able to continue collaboration on future projects. Furthermore, another objective not initially explained has been achieved and is related to the internationalization of the partner institutions themselves and their participating staff, contributing to reinforcing our European dimension and reinforcing our linguistic and digital skills.

Background

One of the main reasons why our organization requested the project was to experience the experience of an Erasmus+ project, as a learning process, since in-service teacher training is our objective. In this way, we could help to our schools for their internationalization. Another objective was to participate within the European network of centers, and thus be able to contact our counterparts to find out how teacher training works in Europe. Furthermore, another key element that motivated us was the fact of jointly designing, with other centers that are dedicated to teacher training, a training itinerary to improve teachers competences for the new challenges, hence the training itinerary included inclusive education content, Universal Learning Design, Cooperative Learning, Digital Tools and Resources and e-Twinning. And last, the aim was to create a network that would help schools with fewer resources, more isolated and with, apparently, fewer possibilities due to their circumstances, in their internationalization.
