Objectives

Project Objectives 1.- Promote critical thinking and active participation among young participants in the exchange. 2.- Strengthen the role of young people as agents of change in their community by combining non-formal learning activities with collaboration from local entities to support their personal growth. 3.- Design a youth center visibility campaign through the organization of local activities, where young people take on leadership roles and encourage others to participate. 4.- Develop communication skills so that participants can express themselves in public, lead activities, and create a positive impact in their community. 5.- Strengthen European identity by encouraging reflection on their role as EU citizens, beyond their nationality of origin. 6.-Learn about and share experiences with young people from other EU countries, identifying initiatives and methodologies that can be applied in their own community. Achievement of Objectives 1.- The young participants acquired tools that enabled them to critically analyze their surroundings, plan activities, and resolve conflicts creatively, both during the preparatory sessions and throughout the exchange. 2.- They actively participated in various community activities, such as visits to different population centers, meetings with local associations (Yere, the bull association, the senior citizens' association, among others), and gastronomic experiences in different restaurants. 3.- Before and after the exchange, participants led activities within local youth spaces, including Halloween events, volunteering with the ALVA group, craft workshops, and the placement of ashtrays in municipal trash bins. These experiences allowed them to develop leadership and group management skills, supported by the youth worker. 4.- Communication and decision-making were key aspects of the collaboration between Proyecto Kieu and partner organizations from Denmark. The young participants took on the responsibility of coordinating activities, managing communication with the town hall, and maintaining contact with families to ensure the smooth development of the exchange. 5.- and 6.- During a dedicated week, participants researched the opportunities offered by the European Union for young people and reflected on their impact on their lives. As a result, they identified new initiatives that they could implement in their communities and recognized the value and importance of the EU’s role in the lives of young people.
