Objectives

By implementing this project, we wanted to increase the capacity of the organizations involved in the Youth sector and non-formal education to prepare and deliver youth activities of high quality. Having identified with our partners the lack of knowledge and expertise to implement effective projects both at organizational and educational levels, our aim was to develop the required skills and knowledge of the key actors for efficiently using Erasmus+ funding, supporting their target groups and maintaining the impact and sustainability of the outcomes of their initiatives. With the implementation of projects being one of the most popular (and effective) ways for Organizations to engage their target groups and give visibility to their work, the need to support and empower their capacities in project design and management becomes crucial for their sustainability. The project raised awareness of the lack of information and knowledge, and consequently the lack of understanding of what it takes to deliver a project of high quality for increasing its learning experience and impact on the target groups and local communities. In addition, it highlighted the importance of wisely and efficiently using the Erasmus+ funding, which remains one of the most important support mechanisms of the Youth sector. Through our project, we empowered participants by equipping them with the required skills and tools to manage high-quality projects. The objectives of the project were: • to provide training on Project Management with a focus on the organizational, educational, and human resources aspects of projects • to discover the potential of the Erasmus+ Programme in creating quality and value-based learning mobilities for young people and youth workers. • to advocate European cooperation in the youth field and support the development of sustainable partnerships for future joint projects between organizations from European and neighboring regions • to provide partners, the opportunity to share best practice examples and useful tools for the implementation of quality youth projects • to improve the human organizational capacity of the involved organizations with a focus on empowering and engaging their new members and volunteers who are perhaps not yet advanced when it comes to projects and wish to gain both knowledge and skills in the field • to develop new and strong long-term international partnerships • to strengthen the importance of local communities when implementing a projects Through the international atmosphere of the project and its planned activity, we addressed, discussed, and worked on different aspects of youth projects and youth initiatives and their required preparation. We also raised awareness of other issues that can arise or can be directly related to implementing an international and local youth project. Our focus was directly linked to cooperation among organizations and the importance of strengthening their capacities at all levels. Moreover, we provided a reliable and safe space for participants from both EU and non-EU countries to develop themselves and gain new skills and competences. The inclusion of this combination of countries allowed us to have a broad share of experiences among us but also a broader audience for the dissemination and maintenance of the project’s outcomes.
