Objectives

The project partners are aware that the demand for mental health care has increased globally, as a result of the global pandemic that is still being experienced throughout Europe and much of the world, and with particular strength among young people and adolescents who have been drastically affected socially and mentally by the confinement and whose mental health has been severely affected. For this reason, to establish and maintain emotionally healthy social relationships and to help them fight against the psychological impact of the pandemic that is leaving our adolescents and young people without the necessary tools to deal with and establish emotionally healthy social relationships, Splora Foundation decided to carry out a SEMINAR ON GOOD PRACTICES FOR THE CARE OF THE MENTAL HEALTH OF YOUTH AND ADOLESCENTS. MAIN OBJECTIVE: to provide 18 youth educators (accompanied by 2 facilitators) with mental health alarm criteria, basic training in the field, specific resources and preventive strategies, through close collaboration between project partners, sharing best practices and previous experiences. The purpose is to strengthen and equip professionals working with adolescents and youth with tools to work for mental health care in their communities. OBJECTIVES: > Exchange good practices in mental health among educators and youth workers from 6 countries (Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Romania, Poland and Spain). To share tools, methods, projects, materials, workshops, in order to learn from each other's experience. > To learn about existing good practices, analyze their potential and try to renew and adapt them in order to work with them in different communities. > To create new strategic partnerships among the participating organizations to develop new projects working on mental health; > Implement the activities developed in the seminar in a novel way and adapt their use to the different communities in the 6 participating countries. The title of the project was "PUZZLE: mental health for young people". With the name puzzle, or "jigsaw puzzle", the team wanted to emphasize the complexity of the issue of mental health and, at the same time, highlight the need to work on it. This name, both in English and Spanish, has a similar meaning: it means puzzle, which is what we often need to understand the diversity in the world of mental health.
