Thanks to the involvement of the participants in workshops and study visits during the mobilities in the 3 Partner Countries and the dissemination of the handbook produced, all objectives were achieved.

Background

The "WusTe" project aimed to raise young people's awareness of the problem of food waste and to encourage discussion on environmentally friendly solutions for recycling food waste in order to help reduce pollution. This project was requested because it is ever more urgent that young people become aware of the current environmental situation and understand that their actions will influence the future of the planet. The project partners share the idea that food waste is a valuable and precious resource for the transition to a circular economy. However, it also represents a high risk to the environment if not disposed of properly. Through this project, the aim was to raise awareness of the potential of food waste and, at the same time, to warn about its risks. All partners identified the need to inform young people about new ways to contribute to the transition to the circular economy and to inspire youth workers and young people in general on this topic.
