The Swedish climate activist has become known globally for her environmental campaign. In August 2018, aged 15, Thunberg began a solo climate protest by striking from school. Since then, she has been joined by tens of thousands of school and university students in more than a dozen countries, in climate strikes that have become regular events. The organisations from Finland and Georgia decided to help her a bit by a non-formal education in this project, due to the climate crisis, to show the people that ecological attitude could be very beneficial not only to Earth, but also to them. Erasmus+ programme could give us an opportunity to talk with each other about our real experience, to improve our knowledge about basic everyday activities and increase an awareness of the ordinary population around us. Our action had to be accompanied by an integrated long-term strategy of waste management with the aim of promoting recycling and sorting of refuse upon collection. Despite the fact there were lots of worldwide projects addressing environmental problems, especially recycling. Anyway, it wasn`t enough and people living in deplorable conditions were and are needing support and involvement in solving environmental issues.
