Human interference in the environment has risen significantly since VVII, owing to factors such as globalization, industrialization, and technology, and imbalances in the human-nature connection have begun to emerge. Global environmental pollution and climatic change have resulted from rising levels of welfare, and the events that have occurred have begun to severely impact all living things. As a result, if we want to leave future generations with a more habitable planet, we must take measures as soon as possible and instill this knowledge in our children and young people. The term "ecological literacy" was used at this event, and it refers to having an awareness of environmental issues as well as being concerned about and working to address the damage caused by these issues. Climate activism is another notion that sticks out in this context. The Stockholm Declaration and the UNEP-United Nations Environment Program that preceded it were the first measures taken on a worldwide scale, and they have since been the beginning point for environmental efforts that continue to this day. Since then, the European Union has placed a high priority on environmental issues, preparing a total of eight Environmental Action Programs and signing the European Green Consensus in 2019, with the goal of achieving economic growth while reducing natural resource consumption and achieving a net emission value of zero for greenhouse gasses by 2050. Despite these efforts to address climate change and pollution, societies, particularly young people, do not act responsibly and do not understand how to live in an ecologically sustainable manner. When we look at the climate change statistics of the nations, we can see that the best countries have a rate of 75 percent, Latvia has a rate of 60 percent, Germany has a medium rate of 55 percent, and the worst countries have a rate of 35 percent, and Bulgaria has a rate of 40 percent. (2019, New Climate Institute) To raise these rates and slow the climate disaster, all societies, particularly young people, must become aware of the issue and continue to live in this manner by becoming ecologically educated people. The overall goal of our project, which was decided to be developed in light of all of this information, was to increase young people's motivation and competence in the fight against climate change, as well as to contribute to a reduction in the rate of climate change by demonstrating the effects of the environment to the general public. Our specific objectives were: 1. Introduce young people to ecological literacy and activities, and provide them with information on the issue. 2. To increase environmental awareness among young people by demonstrating the issues created by a lack of knowledge about the climate and the environment. 3. To enhance youth motivation and competence in combating climate change and preserving the environment by demonstrating appropriate environmental behaviors and activities.
