Young people of Fairway came to the conclusion that deeper education and promotion of a healthy lifestyle amongst young people as well as the habit of practicing sports activities is of great need nowadays all over Europe. The beautiful nature of Baku, Azerbaijan offered a good inspiration for taking on new habits, therefore we organised a project «Street Workout is Kind of My Thing». The concept of «Street Workout is Kind of My Thing» was as follows: young people gather together in the streets and by using all available equipment (e.g. children playgrounds, outdoor parks, public facilities, park benches, stones, etc.), they worked out. Street workout originates from the US and starts to get more and more popular all over Europe. The main objective of the street workout was to show that in order to practice sport activities and stay fit you do not need any special equipment, fitness club membership, etc. All that you need is just a personal motivation and a little bit of imagination. Building the teams and working together on a common objective is also something that is rather typical for the street workout. We all can have hundreds of excuses for why we are not practicing sports regularly (feeling tired, no money for sports equipment or fitness classes, no time, and so on), but whatever it is, it is just an excuse that is very easy to hide behind. With the project «Street Workout is Kind of My Thing» we inspired people to see opportunities instead of limits and take up healthier lifestyle habits, stand up and start practicing sport activities, demands an effort- daily effort, throughout life. Realising this makes the person stronger, brings them out of the comfort zone, and leads to personal development. This will lead not only to the physical self-development but also will lead to the change of the mindset and the habits. All these ideas were lying as the base of this youth exchange that we organised. The exchange «Street Workout is Kind of My Thing» concept was proposed by the young people from France and developed further together with the partners. Youth felt a great interest in the street workout and therefore we brought together 36 young people from 6 different countries from all over Europe. With this exchange, we motivated the participants themselves to change their lifestyles and practice sport regularly, as well as to change their life habits towards healthier ones, so that after this exchange, they can serve as personal examples in their communities, inspiring more and more people. Besides practicing sport activities outside and involving people from the local community, we passed the message widely. We contacted local Municipalities in Baku, discussed with them on topics related to youth and sport, and also organised happenings on the streets that helped us spread the message. We also had a special Facebook group that was open for everyone and will be an inspiration-space also after this project is done. The participants of the project to exchange their success and ideas also after the project and keep the rest of the group in touch on how things are going in their own countries. This will be our small influence for the better world. At the event, the participants had a chance to share their knowledge and experience in street workouts through diverse indoor and outdoor activities, exercises, workshops, sessions with professionals, round tables, and creative presentations. The participants of the exchange worked also on visibility and communication, they had creative workshops aimed to promote the exchange messages that they used in order to print T-shirts, made bracelets, and a photo exposition. During the exchange, we carried through a public event for promoting “Street Workout is Kind of My Thing”.
