Objectives

The primary goal of the project was to support young people in developing their self-awareness and in finding their place in the job market after completing their studies. Our aim was to help them understand the career opportunities available to them, both locally and internationally. We also saw it as crucial for them to gain valuable experiences that they could build on later, while we focused on developing their skills and creativity. We also strived to collect feedback from the young participants about the shortcomings of the career orientation system during the project, and to share these insights with other young people in similar situations through a publication, thus providing them with the opportunity for orientation. Overall, we wanted to achieve with the implementation of the project to indirectly and directly assist young people in making informed decisions and becoming successful in building their future.

Background

During discussions with young people, as well as consultations with OMDSZ as a partner organization, our association has identified numerous obstacles at the international level that complicate young people's job placement and entrepreneurial ventures after completing their studies. Based on our experiences, students often have only a vague idea of their career paths after high school. Educational institutions frequently face a lack of time and resources, which makes it difficult to provide effective career orientation support for students, while young people find it challenging to find reliable and accurate sources of information. This situation often leads to young people not adequately appreciating their own abilities, getting lost in the search for their future identity, and not knowing the steps that could help them find their ideal career path.
