Objectives

We wanted to collect on- and off-line good practices which can be used not only in environmental education (EE), but connected to any topics being efficient in informing, educating and involving youngsters and others. The collection of good practices has been prepared and shared on several platforms. We wanted to create an educational package. This edu package focuses at the overuse of plastic and at its negative affects. We wanted personally and on organisational level wanted to develop professionally and in the fields of project management and international cooperations and communication. This goal was also achieved, since we have learnt from eachother numerous methods both informally during our visits and joint staff trainings and also through the non-formal methods, which we were playing, implementing during all our activities.

Background

Before our KA2 strategic partnership project, we made a market research on what problems do institutes and NGO-s face working in envrionmental education (EE). The result was, that they can not finance trainings and they can not catchup with the trends and expectations of youngsters. They can not catch and/or maintain their attention, involvement. Environmental educators and teachers (1. TG) do not know how to inform, communicate with youngsters (2. TG). They use traditional formal educational methods and irrelevant communication channels. 1. TG: There are organisations doing EE with huge offline experience, but there are few with online. we all urgently need to learn and implement these in every EE actions. Educators do not know nonformal training methods, which help them to educate and attract youngsters. EE organisations need to involve and advocate young generation more, but they do not know the methods and tools to do so. Lot of them are stuck on a level, not being able to renew, innovate, build capacity, with and through 2. TG, so they need methods to #Involve youngsters.
