Objectives

The project had the overall strategic objective of providing quality and diverse non-formal training for youth workers with fewer access at a regional level through the applicant and its partners. The application specifically responded to the priority set under the category "Small-scale partnerships", which focuses on providing access to quality non-formal training for youth workers who, for geo-economic or other reasons, have less access to this type of professional activities. The partnership also decided to apply for funding under this category because the project plans and purposes they had previously developed together were linked to the additional criteria and general objectives set out in the call for proposals: the project combined a national and transnational dimension, thus achieving a regional impact. It has also furthered the longer-term goal of the involved partner organisations to join European-level cooperations and to involve new applicants to the funding programme. In addition, one of the most important objectives of the partnership is to maintain and develop thier professional cooperation in the long term.

Background

In the spring of 2021, the applicant implemented a joint project with one of the partner organisations involved in the present project with funding from the Erasmus+ Youth Workers' Mobility programme. The project's objective was to provide non-formal training for teachers and youth workers from rural areas of Vojvodina and Hungary. During the project implementation process, it became clear that there was a significant need for further trainings of this type for this specific target group with less access. Through its composition, the partnership has also been able to meet the specified priority of bringing together cross-sectoral competences that complement each other substantially, and to apply the actions set out in the 2017 Tartu Call for Healthy Lifestyle. In the light of the above, and in line with the events that affected the project period (the coronavirus epidemic and its aftermath, the outbreak of the war in Ukraine), the organised activities mainly reflected on the factors affecting physical and mental health, and contributed to the well-being of the participating youth workers by providing them with competences and valuable experiences related to maintaining physical and mental balance.
