The main objectives of the WELFARE project were: To develop high-quality Open Educational Resources, including curriculum, online/face-to-face training content, and training courses. To promote and enhance understanding of the importance of social innovation and entrepreneurship within partner countries' welfare systems. To create an open university, training, and networking environment for discourse, research, and social innovation in the welfare system both within partner countries and transnationally through the WELFARE platform.
The WELFARE project partnership aimed to enhance training and support for social innovation and entrepreneurship for university students, professionals, and practitioners. It offers: - Integration and cooperation of academia and social enterprises within the welfare system. - An interdisciplinary educational environment fostering creativity and multidimensional perspectives on community challenges. - An international network promoting idea sharing among enthusiasts. - Analysis and comparison of institutional environments and social innovation policies, creating a platform for discussion and improvement. Their goals include meeting the needs of practitioners, stakeholders, universities, and training organizations. The partnership utilizes flipped learning, providing accessible teaching materials for exploration and problem-based learning. This approach facilitates the use of modules in various educational settings, promoting social innovation and entrepreneurship.
